Gebeya Jitume Referral Guidelines

Campaign Period: July – August, 2025

1. Introduction

The Gebeya Jitume Referral Campaign is designed to reward existing users who invite eligible service-based businesses to join the Gebeya Jitume platform. These guidelines explain who qualifies, how referrals are tracked, what rewards are offered, and what conduct is expected.
Please read these guidelines carefully. Participation in the campaign implies acceptance of all terms herein.

2. Who Can Participate

  • Only Gebeya Jitume users with a registered account may generate referral links.
  • Users must be natural persons (not agencies or bots) aged 18 or older.
  • No sign-up or fee is required to participate.

3. How to Refer

Referrals must be made using the tools in the Gebeya Jitume site:

  • Tap “Refer 7 Friends” to access your unique referral link.
  • You may share this link via WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, or any channel.
  • You may not modify the referral link, as that will void tracking.

4. Valid Referral Criteria

A referral will be credited to you only if:

  • The referred user is a new customer who has never had a Gebeya Jitume account.
  • The new user is the owner of a service-based business, such as:
    • Consulting
    • Design & Creative
    • Legal
    • Accounting
    • Coaching
    • Or other service providers (barbers, etc…)
  • They complete onboarding via your referral link, including:
    • Account registration
    • Phone number verification
⚠️ Only one reward per unique phone number. Duplicate or re-activated accounts will not be counted.

5. Rewards Structure

Rewards are tiered based on how many valid referrals you make and how fast you make them:

A top-up of 800 Birr to your ChipChip wallet
2 30-minute business growth session (group coaching) with Gebeya
3 50 Anytime A "Family Asbeza" package from ChipChip, worth 1500 Birr
A top-up of 1500 Birr to your ChipChip wallet
3 30-minute business growth sessions (group coaching) with Gebeya

*Anytime = As long as Level 3 is achieved before the campaign ends (August, 2025).

You may choose from options including:

  • One ChipChip package for free
  • ChipChip wallet top-up
  • Business strategy sessions from Gebeya

6. Redemption & Reset Policy

You may choose to redeem your reward at any level once qualified.

However, redeeming resets your referral count to zero.

If you redeem at Level 1 after 7 referrals, and refer 7 more people, you will not reach Level 2, you’ll be back at Level 1.

To progress to higher levels, wait until you hit the next tier before redeeming.

7. Timing Rules

The countdown starts the moment your first valid referral signs up.

8. Reward Delivery

You need to fill out the forms on https://gebeya.com/rewards/ to collect your rewards.
Rewards for all levels are issued after manual review before release.

9. Reward Redemption Window

Once you qualify for a reward (by hitting a referral level), you will receive a notification via the app and/or email.

You must redeem your reward within 45 days of qualifying.

After 45 days, unclaimed rewards expire and will no longer be available unless re-earned by hitting the referral level again.

⏳ Best practice: Redeem immediately after you qualify to avoid missing out.

10. Anti-Fraud Measures

To protect the platform and other users, Gebeya Jitume monitors for:

  • Self-referral (using multiple phone numbers)
  • Mass signups from one IP/device
  • Use of bots or automation
  • Fake or unqualified businesses
  • Referral messaging that is misleading or inaccurate

Gebeya reserves the right to disqualify, pause, or ban accounts found in violation.

🛡️ Any reward granted based on fraudulent or ineligible referrals may be revoked, and the account may be permanently excluded from future promotions.

11. Budget and Campaign Limitations

Gebeya reserves the right to:

  • Pause or end the campaign at any time
  • Cap the number of rewards issued
  • Modify reward values based on partner availability or pricing

Any changes will be communicated via app notifications and/or email.

12. Messaging & Promotion Ethics

Users are encouraged to share their referral links widely, but must:

  • Not impersonate Gebeya Jitume staff or support
  • Not claim false features or guarantees
  • Avoid spamming or harassing other users

By participating, users agree to these guidelines and any updates.
